OnePlus 8T 5G- Launch event, expected price, and specs

OnePlus 8T 5G is all set to launch in the global market on 14th Oct. The OnePlus 8T price in Germany is said to be around Rs 51,000 for the top-end model, as per the Amazon listing. In India, it could be lower than Rs 50,000 considering the competitive smartphone market in the country. We expect the phone to be priced between Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000.

The company has teased some key OnePlus 8T specifications and we also know that the phone will be available in India through Amazon. The handset will be unveiled via an online event, which is slated to begin at 7:30 PM IST. The OnePlus 8T will be available for sale via Amazon.in, OnePlus.in, and partnered store across the country. The company will likely announce the first sale date during the launch event.

OnePlus 8T will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset instead of the newer Snapdragon 865+ SoC. The SoC is said to be coupled with 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB storage onboard. Software-wise, the OnePlus 8T is confirmed to run the latest Android 11-based Oxygen OS out of the box.

The cameras will reportedly comprise 48MP primary sensor with OIS, 16MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro sensor, and 2MP monochrome sensor. At the front, a 16MP front-facing camera is expected.

OnePlus has revealed that the handset will debut with the Warp Charge 65 fast-charging technology. The 65W output will juice up the phone’s 4,500mAh battery from zero to 58 percent in just 15 minutes and 100 percent in 39 minutes. “The new twin-battery configuration on the 8T will allow the device to charge more than twice as fast as previous OnePlus flagships with Warp Charge 30T,” the company said.
